Dubai is Tomorrowland!
By Linda | April 28, 2008

I believe that if Walt Disney had lived to see the amazing land development projects currently taking form in Dubai, he would have declared that his vision of tomorrowland had come to pass.
Take a look at some of these concept drawings of actual buildings and projects. Some have already been completed. Others are still in various stages of development.

The Trump International Hotel & Tower will be the centerpiece of Palm Jumeirah (one of the man-made palm shaped islands).

The Dubai skyline clustered around the magnificent Burj Dubai

Construction on the Burj Dubai is expected to wrap up in 2008. It will easily be the world’s tallest building. At a height of over 2625 feet, it surpasses the current record holder, the Yalpei 101 by almost 40%.

Hydropolis, the world’s first underwater hotel. Built in Germany and assembled on site, it is currently scheduled for completion in 2009.

Minneapolis’ Mall of America’s got nothing on Dubai. At over 9 million square feet, the Dubai Mall will be the world’s largest, housing around 1000 retailers.
